now we can get in another discussion about the flaws of the healthcare system and why i feel the president's fix hasn't fixe fixed the flaws in e system. but not now. back to this. how i was frantically trying to pay the bills any way i could. tapping visa credit card lines and mastercard lines. i was often paying one credit card off with another. always juggling, forever drowning. here is how bad things got for me. it got to the point where just pay the minimum on those credit card bills and home equity loans was the single biggest expense. biggest one. i used to tell my wife if the chemo doesn't kill me, the lack of cash to pay for it. will i don't know what scared me more? dying or dieing in debt. as you can see, i didn't die. i beat that cancer. i got another bad disease after that. this isn't about me. i remember as if it were yesterday, and you know what i see happening all over again in the country today? sicker where i ever was. we pay $240 billion a year just in interest on that $16 trillion debt. think about that. that is our national finance charge, not a penny of it going to pay
